asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if the Army Council have considered the Report of the Court of Inquiry which was appointed to inquire into the circumstances of the capture of the hon. and gallant Member for the Holderness Division of Yorkshire, and if he has been cleared of any charge of misconduct in the matter?

Yes, Sir; the Army Council has considered the report of the Court of Inquiry, and the hon. and gallant Member for Holderness is exonerated from any charge of misconduct or any blame for the loss of his dispatches.
