HC Deb 21 October 1918 vol 110 c470W
Mr. O'MALLEY

asked the First Commissioner of Works if he will state the cost out of public funds of the renovation and decoration of the Albert Memorial, and the number of men continuously employed on that work?

Sir A. MOND

There has been no renovation nor redecoration of the memorial since 1915. The periodical cleaning down of the statue and lower part of the memorial has up to date this year cost £36. The work is performed by a few men who are responsible for the cleaning of statues, etc., in the charge of the Department.
