§ Mr. G. TERRELLasked the Under-Secretary of State to the Air Ministry if he can state the reason for the delay in discharging from the Army Third-Air-Mechanic Private F. J. Tanner, Royal Air Force, in order that he may be able to return to civil employment; whether he is aware that this man was by mistake enrolled in the Army; and whether, in this and other similar mistakes, a delay of three months is necessary before a release can be obtained?
§ Major BAIRDThe case of Private Tanner was first brought to the notice of the Air Ministry on 9th September. I regret the delay that has occurred in the arrangements for his discharge. Telegraphic instructions were issued yesterday that he should be released forthwith.
