Colonel THORNEasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what were and are the scales of pensions paid by the South African authorities to British South Africans, officers and men, not Regular British soldiers, who took part in the South African War and were totally or partially disabled; what pensions were paid to their dependants; what scales of pensions were paid to widows, children, and other dependants in respect of British South Africans, officers and men, who were killed; and what pensions were paid out of British or Boer funds to or in respect of Boers who fought in the South African War?
