Mr. WALSHAn Order in Council has been issued under which the registration officers will place on the absent voters' list registered electors who have joined the forces since the register was prepared, on receiving an application for the purpose2554W from the elector; and the registration officer will record the address furnished by the elector for the purpose of the dispatch of the ballot-papers. These addresses will be open to inspection by the candidates' agents for the purpose of forwarding election addresses. The Department sent a circular yesterday to the registration officers explaining the matter fully.
