§ Mr. O'LEARYasked the Prime Minister whether, having regard to the fact that the enlarged electorate will add considerably to the price of copies of the Parliamentary register, an arrangement will be made under which each candidate will be entitled to receive free of charge from the registration officer or returning officer a definite number of copies of the register?
Mr. WALSHI have been asked to answer this question. The Local Government Board have been informed by the Treasury that they are not prepared to sanction the supply of free copies of the register to political agents. The Local Government Board are however, in communication with them as to a reduction in the scale of fees to be charged for copies of the register.
