HC Deb 09 May 1918 vol 105 c2342W
Mr. JOWETT

asked the Undersecretary of State for the Home Department whether he has received any complaints that the agent in charge of the work centre, Wakefield, has increased the task imposed on conscientious objectors employed in the mat department until it has become excessive and it is impossible for the men employed, however industrious they may be, to escape fines; and if he will make inquiries with a view to the task being reduced?

Sir G. CAVE

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to a question on this subject by the hon. Member for Blackburn on the 6th instant.
