§ Sir G. CAVEAt the end of his previous sentence for failing to notify his change of address this man petitioned to be allowed to join the British Army, and was permitted to do so. He has now deserted and committed a further offence, and it is highly improbable that he will be allowed to remain here when his present sentence expires.
