Colonel THORNEasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that a 1008W number of Lascars are being employed under the South Metropolitan Gas Company at their Greenwich works; if he is aware that this is causing discontent among the workmen; if be can give any reasons why Lascars are engaged on such work; and if he will take action in the matter?
