§ Sir G. CAVEThe visiting committee is composed of local justices appointed by Quarter Sessions and not by the Home Office. It last met at the prison on the 25th February, when no complaints were received. Individual members of the committee visit the prison weekly, and the last weekly visit took place on Monday last, when no complaints were made.
