§ Mr. MONTAGUThe latest information I have is given in a Press note issued by the Bombay Government at the end of April, containing a detailed narrative of the proceedings up to date. I shall be happy to send my hon. Friend a copy of it. The matter is one which was left to the local government, in whose competence it obviously was, and I gather that it is now practically closed. If there is any particular point on which my hon. Friend desires information I will be glad if he will let me know; but it is hardly a subject which can usefully be discussed or judged here.
