§ Mr. GILBERTasked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware that there is dissatisfaction among the women teachers of the London County Council at the recent scale of salaries adopted by that body; and can he state if he has any power to impose a minimum scale of salaries for women teachers with education authorities as a condition of the extra Grant being paid to them?
Mr. FISHERI would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on Monday last to the hon. Members for West Ham South and North Somerset. The Board have not taken power to prescribe any minimum scale of salaries.
