§ Mr. BRACEDuring the year ended 31st March, 1918, there were sixty-two boys and six girls under sixteen years of age sent to prison, either under sentence or on remand or to await removal to other institutions. To obtain the further particulars asked for would involve the expenditure of time and labour which I can- not ask the Prison Commission to under- I take at the present time.
