HC Deb 17 July 1918 vol 108 cc1070-1W
Mr. CHANCELLOR

asked the President of the Board of Education if he is aware that the National Federation of Women Teachers, on behalf of 10,053 women teachers in the service of the London County Council, has petitioned for arbitration on the question of salaries; has he received a resolution from a public meeting held at Queen's Hall calling upon the Government to extend the same right of arbitration to the women teachers as it has given to other workers; and is he prepared to accede to this demand?

Mr. HERBERT FISHER

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I do not appear to have received the resolution referred to in the second part of the question.
