§ Sir H. GREENWOODasked the Undersecretary of State for War whether National Reservists above the age of forty-five, who, prior to the War, had signed the obligation card for home service only, have now been examined by a medical board and placed in Category B 1; and whether this means that they are now made liable for service overseas in defiance of the understanding given them in 1914?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONI presume my hon. and gallant Friend is referring to men in the Royal Defence Corps. Many of these men are in Category B 1, and they are liable for service overseas, after transfer to another corps, in the same manner as other soldiers who are enlisted under the Military Service Acts.
