§ Mr. ALDENasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will make arrangements, in view of the shortage of fruit in this country, for the importation of both fresh and dried fruits; and whether he will take steps to secure the necessary shipping?
§ Mr. CLYNESI am endeavouring to supplement the supply of home-grown fruit for jam manufacture by the importation of foreign fruit, and am in communication with the Shipping Controller on the matter. If the necessary tonnage can be allocated, I also hope to obtain considerable quantities of dried fruits.
