§ Captain WRIGHTasked the Undersecretary of State for War if his attention has been called to the attitude of the military authorities towards the Royal Regiment of Artillery in relation to appointments of officers holding commissions in the regiment on divisional, corps, and Army staffs, and to divisional, corps, and Army commands; and if he will make any statement?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONI do not think that officers of the Royal Artillery have, as a general rule, been neglected in this respect. My military advisers are agreed that they have in the past received a very fair share of such appointments, and the position at the present time is improving considerably. I do not think that Artillery officers will have any real grievance in this respect in the future.
