§ Mr. BECKAs I have informed the House, a conference was held with the representatives of the Boot and Shoe Manufacturers' Association and the National Union of Boot and Shoe Operatives on Thursday last, when a satisfactory agreement was arrived at. Arrangements have been made for setting up trade advisory committees of the kind suggested in the question.
