§ Sir JOHN AINSWORTHasked the Minister of Reconstruction whether he has considered recommending the adoption in this country of a system of grading and pasteurising the milk supply, similar to that instituted under the Department of Health, New York City, United States of America; whether he has considered' the establishment of infant milk kitchens in connection with the system of milk control, as have been established in New York City; whether he has considered the benefit to health that would result from the institution of some such system and the consequent saving of our annual wastage of some 20,000 gallons of milk: and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?
§ Dr. ADDISONThe points mentioned' in the first part of the question have been referred to in the Second Interim Report of the Committee on the Production and Distribution of Milk, who are, I understand, still considering them. I will bring the other points mentioned to the notice of this Committee.
