§ Mr. CLYNESYes, Sir. It is intended after the experimental stage to use for this purpose only such potatoes as are unfit for human food. The manufacture of industrial alcohol from potatoes will save grain and increase the amount of alcohol required to meet the demands of the Ministry of Munitions in connection with the manufacture of explosives.
