§ Mr. MACPHERSONThe experience of the War Office is that our prisoners captured by the Germans usually write either on the special first capture postcard provided by the Germans or on a field service card which they may happen to possess. These postcards are subject to censorship, but as few contain anything beyond the soldier's description, the delay is not likely to be great. The interval between the date on the card and the date of its receipt in this country varies from three weeks to46W two months. Special postcards are provided for German prisoners captured by us.
