§ Sir R. WINFREYFour thousand five hundred and thirteen acres have been acquired, and 1,345 are about to be acquired, under the Small Holdings (Colonies) Act, 1916. In addition, 300 acres have been given under the Sailors and Soldiers (Gifts for Land Settlement) Act, 1917. It is hoped that it will be possible to introduce further legislation on this subject at an early date.
