§ Mr. BYRNEasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland on what grounds the transfers of insured members of the St. Coman branch of the Irish National Foresters who have asked to be transferred from other societies over six months ago have been held back, seeing that those people have complied with the Act regarding forms, etc., and have appealed to the Irish Commission to allow their transfers to be granted; and when he will be in a position to facilitate the matter, seeing several members have no insurance cards and have been refused benefit from their old societies?
§ Sir E. CORNWALLThe St. Coman branch of the Irish National Foresters was not registered until 29th November, 1917. Applications of insured persons to transfer to that branch from other approved societies could not, therefore, have been considered before that date. The applications are now under the consideration of the Irish Insurance Commissioners, and it is hoped that their decisions will310W be issued at a very early date. Until the transfers are effected the insured persons remain members of their present societies, and it is the duty of such societies to supply them with contribution cards and to deal with any claim for benefit.
