§ Mr. GILBERTasked the President of the Local Government Board whether, as he is aware that the registration officers have now organised their staff and offices for registration purposes under the Representation of the People Act, he can make any statement now as to the preparation of the second register, the occupying time for which would be October next; and whether he proposes to issue any instructions to registration officers on the matter, and, if so, when?
Mr. FISHERA further Order in Council will be necesary fixing registration and other dates in connection with the second register. As soon as the Order in Council is issued instructions will be given to registration officers, but I am not in a position at the present time to make any definite statement on the subject.
