Mr. FISHERI could not undertake to adopt the course suggested. In many cases the statements areex parte; in others the owners are not known. In others, again, the owners or some of them can have no responsibility for the condition of the buildings.

§ Mr. MUNROI have considered my hon. Friend's suggestion which I presume he would limit to cases where the unfitness of the house has been established by process of law or otherwise. In such cases, however, publication must, I think, have already taken place, and further action on the lines suggested becomes unnecessary.
