HC Deb 17 April 1918 vol 105 c416W
Sir J. JARDINE

asked the Secretary of State for India if he can make any statement regarding agrarian disturbances in the collectorate of Kaira, in the presidency of Bombay, and as to whether the ryots were instigated not to pay the assessments fixed for terms of years on their holdings of land; and, if so, what measures are being taken by the authorities?

Mr. HERBERT FISHER

The Secretary of State has no information beyond that contained in a communiquéissued by the Government of Bombay, which the hon. Baronet has possibly seen. He will be glad to send the hon. Baronet a copy.
