Sir M. BARLOWasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food, in regard to the supply of sugar, whether, in view of the hardship of the present arrangements to the small trader, it has been possible to make more liberal arrangements for the supply of sugar to the small trader; and whether these arrangements will commence from the 21st of April, when the present basis of rationing is stated to expire?
§ Mr. CLYNESThere is no intention of altering the present system of sugar rationing, and I am not aware of any hardship to small traders with the exception of confectioners, to whom some measure of relief will be afforded in another way.
