§ Commander BELLAIRSasked the Minister of Reconstruction whether any consideration has been given by the Ministry of Reconstruction to the future salvage of merchant vessels and cargoes now at the bottom of the ocean in 1842W international waters; and whether the Government will bear in mind that there is a probability of German enterprise, whether under the German or neutral flag, endeavouring to enter this field in view of the experience they have gained in salvage operations and also of an indiscriminate promotion of private enterprises in this direction; and, in view of the State insurance scheme, whether the rights of the State will be fully safeguarded?
