§ Mr. HAYES FISHERThe returns at present before me, which are not yet complete, show that some 340 local authorities have schemes actually in course of preparation. Nearly 500 others, in addition to those above mentioned, have already expressed their willingness to carry out schemes with adequate financial assistance from His Majesty's Government.
