HC Deb 15 November 1917 vol 99 c592W
Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he will inquire into the case of Private Jones, No. 53296, 2nd Section, 9th Machine Gun Company, British Expeditionary Force, France, who was admitted to hospital on 28th August last as a shellshock victim, officially described as suffering from neurasthenia, but who a few weeks later was discharged and classified A and is now in the trenches; and whether it is the usual practice to send back shellshock victims into the firing line?

Mr. FORSTER

I would refer the hon Member to the answer given on the 13th instant to the hon. Member for North Somerset, which refers to this case.
