HC Deb 20 March 1917 vol 91 cc1740-1W
Colonel M'CALMONT

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that outside a few big London firms with large reserves it is already impossible to purchase sporting cartridges; and whether he will take immediate action with a view to the release of a sufficient quantity of lead to enable farmers to purchase cartridges locally for the protection of their crops, which are already in danger of destruction?

Sir W. EVANS
