§ Mr. HERBERT FISHERThe meetings of the Committee in question have been suspended since the outbreak of the War, and I am unable to say when it will be in a position to report. The Committee was appointed on 14th August, 1913, and the terms of reference and names of the members were published. The reference was "to inquire and report, after consultation with the bodies and persons concerned, as to the steps by which effect shall be given to the scheme of the Report of the Royal Commission on University Education in London, and to recommend specific arrangements and provisions which may be immediately adopted for that purpose and as to the basis of the necessary legislation." The Committee was composed as follows:
