§ Dr. MACNAMARARoyal Naval Reserve men may be granted a long-service medal after fifteen years' service, and Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve men after twelve years' service; it is not, however, considered necessary to establish such an award for combined service in the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Reserve.
