COLLINSasked the Secretary to the Local Government Board if he is aware of the failure regularly to collect the house refuse in the Metropolitan Borough of St. Pancras, and the menace thereby occasioned to the public health; and whether the Government will afford the borough council the facilities they have asked for and the additional labour required to enable them to perform this necessary sanitary function?
§ Mr. HAYES FISHERI am fully aware of the difficulties which the Metropolitan borough councils have experienced in regard to the collection -and disposal of house refuse, and my Department are assisting them in their efforts to surmount these difficulties.
