§ Mr. BARNESThe question of the transfer of the functions of the War Pensions Statutory Committee to the Ministry of Pensions will shortly come before this House, and, in the meantime, they are continuing their functions under the control of the Minister as provided by Section 3 of the Ministry of Pensions Act, 1916. The Chairman of the Committee receives no salary in respect of that office. It is not proposed to discontinue the salary of the Vice-Chairman for so long as his office and its very arduous duties continue.
