§ Mr. WATTasked the Secretary for Scotland if it is the practice in dealing with pensions to Civil servants in Scotland when they apply for the same to ask them whether they have during their service to the State received a salary or remuneration for outside employment?
§ Mr. BALDWINIt is a condition of the grant of any superannuation allowance under the Civil Superannuation Acts, 1834 to 1914, that the "duties of the several418W offices or situations held since the applicant entered the Civil Service should have required the holder to give his whole time to the public service," and a certificate to this effect is given by the head of the Department concerned in submitting an application for pension.
