§ Mr. H. LAWasked what steps, if any, are being taken with a view to compelling owners or occupiers of grazing farms in the Western Parliamentary Division of county Donegal to cultivate a portion of such farms or, in the alternative, to hand them, over for that purpose to some public authority?
§ Mr. DUKEThe Department of Agriculture have no reason to believe that owners are unaware of the obligation imposed upon them to cultivate a specified portion of their arable land. Action will be taken promptly in case of wilful default. The appropriate action will be decided by the Department after consultation with the Advisory Committee, which is already dealing with the matter.
