Corps possess no rifles at present, and therefore cannot efficiently perform their drill?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONRifles will be supplied to the Volunteers when other more pressing requirements have been, met. I think that the situation is understood by the volunteers. The bulk of captured rifles are received in a condition unfit for use owing to the loss of some essential part.
