§ Lord R. CECILThe population in Germany in 1895 was 52,279,901. The population in 1911 was estimated at 67,810,000. The increase in population during the twenty years was therefore 15,530,099. The total number of emigrants from 1895 to 1914 was 522,749. The white population of each of the German colonies in 1913 was:
for all the colonies; but we have no means of distinguishing what proportion of these were civilians.
