§ Mr. STEWARTasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether there are officers in the second line of Yeomanry regiments who volunteered for service overseas in the early stages of the War and who still find themselves in the United Kingdom; and, if so, whether such officers can look forward to any opportunity of being appointed to service at the front?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONThere are still a certain number of officers with 2nd Line Yeomanry regiments who have not yet served overseas. During the last few months a large number of 2nd Line officers have been drafted overseas, and this procedure will be continued as far as possible, subject to maintenance of the fighting efficiency of 2nd Line Yeomanry units.
