HC Deb 26 April 1917 vol 92 cc2598-9W
Sir G. TOULMIN

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he has been informed of congestion at the Command Depot, Western Command, Heaton Park, in the department for massage treatment; whether he is aware that this leads to insufficient attention in many cases; and whether any steps are being taken to improve the accommodation?

Mr. MACPHERSON

Inquiries have been made and there would appear to be no congestion in the massage department at Heaton Park Command Depot. The apparatus is sufficient for the number of soldiers who are ordinarily under treatment at a command depot. I might mention that fourteen additional masseuses were recently supplied, making an increase of twelve over the establishment.
