§ Mr. MILLARasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food if he can state the quantity of barley and other cereals and materials required to produce the 3,000,000 gallons of spirits to be manufactured by the patent-still distilleries and the 8,500,000 gallons of spirits to be manufactured by the Scottish and Irish pot-still distilleries during the present year for potable purposes?
§ Sir W. EVANSApproximately 115,000 quarters of grain are required to produce 3 millions of patent still spirit, and approximately 425,000 quarters to produce 8½ millions of pot still spirit.
