HC Deb 19 April 1917 vol 92 c1844W
Mr. KENNEDY

asked the Prime Minister whether the hon. Member for the Fareham Division is Director-General of a Food Production Department; will he say in what commodities a minimum and maximum price have been guaranteed; the amounts of same and for what period; and how many salaried persons are connected with this Department, giving the total estimated annual salaries?

Sir R. WINFREY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. With regard to the second and third, I will refer the hon. Member to the Ministry of Food, which has made existing Orders setting up maximum and minimum prices. The number of salaried persons employed in the Food Production Department of the Board is 372, and the estimated amount of their salaries is £65,890 per annum.
