HC Deb 04 April 1917 vol 92 cc1311-2W
Mr. H. P. HARRIS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the case of Walter Edwards; whether this man, who was refused exemption from military service by the Newmarket Tribunal and the Appeal Court at Bury St. Edmunds, is now in his old employment as a caretaker at Newmarket after having been called up; and, if so, what is the reason why this man is not used for military service?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am making inquiries, and will let my hon. Friend know the result.
