HC Deb 04 April 1917 vol 92 c1313W
Mr. MILLAR

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he can state the quantity of beer produced in the United Kingdom supplied to the Army, including the Home Forces and troops on active service in the different theatres of war, during the years 1915 and 1916, respectively?

Mr. MACPHERSON

The consumption of beer through canteens at home was for the last year approximately one and a half million barrels. There are no figures available in respect of the other information for which my hon. Friend asks.
