§ Mr. MACPHERSONActing promotion only is given at home, but I know of no regulation preventing a man in category C getting this promotion or his share of leave. I am not clear as to what the hon. Member refers as extra corps pay; but it is possible that he refers to certain additional pay given to men employed temporarily on clerical work, which was stopped in the case of C 3 men permanently employed as clerks.
