HC Deb 02 April 1917 vol 92 c933W
Mr. BILLING

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food what is the method employed by his Department to check food hoarding; and what action, if any, is it permissible or advisable for a private individual to take who is subjected to, or has knowledge of, an overcharge made by tradesmen or others in contravention of the rules and regulations laid down by the Ministry of Food?

Captain BATHURST

No Order relating to hoarding has yet been issued. Any person having knowledge of a clear case of overcharge in contravention of an Order should report it to the Food Controller, with as full information as possible, with a view to proceedings being taken.
