HC Deb 02 April 1917 vol 92 cc947-8W
Mr. JOWETT

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he is aware that men who were called up at Bradford for military service on the 20th instant were first sent to Halifax to be allocated to their respective units, and, on arriving there and being allocated to their units, were ordered to return home to Bradford and report themselves again at Halifax on the following day without being given free railway warrants or money for their fares; and if he will have the train fares paid by the men in question, in the circumstances mentioned, refunded?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am having inquiries made, and will let my hon. Friend know the result.
