§ Mr. HOGGEasked the Secretary of State for War how many British troops are at present quartered in Ireland; and whether these would go a long way to meeting the demand for more men now?
§ Mr. FORSTERI think my hon. Friend will realise on further reflection that it is impossible to give the information asked 1343W for in the first part of the question. The answer to the second part is that any men who are available from any source not hitherto used would, of course, serve, in proportion to the numbers that might be available, to meet the demand for men.
