§ Mr. PRETYMANMy hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. Licences for the importation of hops are issued only by the Board of Trade in pursuance of the powers conferred upon them by the Prohibition of Import (No. 6) Proclamation. Sixteen such licences have been issued in the period specified, and all for reasons given in previous answers to questions on this subject
